The RE-SKILLS workshop aims to address the demand for skilled professionals capable of implementing cutting-edge technological proposals in the dynamic landscape of the energy sector. With a focus on novel technological concepts, the event will bring together industry experts, academia, and professionals to identify essential skills and capabilities required for successful integration.
The workshop will begin by showcasing a spectrum of groundbreaking technological proposals that have the potential to revolutionize the energy industry. Attendees will gain insights into emerging trends, exploring diverse concepts in the renewable energy sources context.
Following, participants will engage in collaborative sessions to identify the specific skill sets necessary for effective implementation. Through interactive discussions and case studies, the workshop will emphasize the interdisciplinary nature of modern energy projects, highlighting the need for expertise in areas such as engineering, data science, environmental science, and project management.
Next tangible pathways for incorporating these innovative technologies into educational portfolios will be developed, ensuring that future graduates are equipped with the skills demanded by the evolving energy landscape.
Ultimately, the workshop aims to foster a culture of continuous learning and collaboration between academia, industry and innovation, facilitating the seamless integration of new technological proposals into educational programs.

  1. Identify Critical Skills and Capabilities for a successful adoption of renewable energy technologies: To analyze and determine the essential skills and capabilities required for successfully implementing novel technological proposals in the renewable energy sector.
  2. Foster Interdisciplinary Collaboration: To promote collaborative efforts between participants (industry, academia, policy makers, etc.) to emphasize the interdisciplinary nature of modern energy projects.
  3. Develop Educational Pathways: To establish tangible pathways for incorporating identified skills and capabilities into educational portfolios, ensuring alignment with the evolving demands of the renewable energy sector.
the workshops cosists of 2 sessions: one dedicated to showcase renewable energy breakthrough innovations and one participatory that aims to identify the knowledge/training needs associated with each of the aforementioned innovations, establishing a ranking of those more frequently arisen, thus needed to be closely taken into account.
  • Session 1: Showcase of renewable energy breakthrough innovations – 1.5 hours
  • Session 2: Bridging the Gap – Identifying Training/Skills Needs and Setting Best Practices to boost technology adoption – 1.5 hours

LOMARTOV
The workshop will be organized by LOMARTOV, S.L., an environmental engineering SME devoted to provide a triple pillar sustainability guidance and validation of new and conventional technological approaches in the field of renewable energies and others. LOMARTOV is ensuring sustainability assessemnts and social acceptance for several EU research and innovation funded projects in the field of renewable energy and green solutions (e.g. SolDAC, HEPAFLEX, OHPERA, DARE2X, HEATERNAL).

Besides LOMARTOV, acting as organiser, the workshop is suported by Grupo Gimeno, Istoval Group and Timeco Group.
